Pivoting and Returning to Retail
We are pleased to announce that as of this afternoon our vegetables will once again be back in stock at Food For Thought in Mount Gambier. We have a great relationship with Joanne and her staff and are very happy to offer our locally grown, organic vegetables to their health conscious customers.
As we roll through our second Winter in Nelson we are continuing to learn about the patterns of weather, plant growth and ourselves as a family and business. We are the kind of people who will never stop working if we don’t plan down time into our schedules.
Recognising this reality we have made the decision to not hold any regular markets over the Winter period. Farming requires a huge amount of effort and to be sustainable we need to build in extended periods of rest. Winter is the perfect time to slow down, re-calibrate and plan for the intensity of the next Spring and Summer.
We want to extend a huge thank you to the Limestone Coast Pantry for hosting us again this Winter your friendly staff and delicious food are a real treat for us and we were so grateful to be inside for our markets.
So, until some time in Spring our produce will only be available at Food For Thought and directly from the farm in Nelson. We will continue to develop the farm and prepare for Market Season.

Our produce is featured on the menu at the Nelson Hotel and customers are welcome to come and visit the farm to take a look and purchase vegetables and supplements Monday to Saturday between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Look out for official farm tours coming soon!
Our online store is now live meaning customers from all over Australia and the world can order our supplement range to be posted to them.

Notes From The Garden
At Rainbow OMG we recognise the centuries long tradition of Moon Planting. In short the different phases of the Moon correspond to growth in in different parts of plants with about 7 days for each phase. The order is Leaf, Fruit/Flower, Root and Stop. We find this cycle an excellent tool for planning and scheduling of all the regular tasks needed for a functional farm.
We are currently in a Stop Week so in between rain events we are attempting to finish the Polytunnel setup, do some weeding, cook lots of great food and relax a little.
