Notes From The Garden
At Rainbow OMG we recognise the centuries long tradition of Moon Planting. In short the different phases of the Moon correspond to growth in in different parts of plants with about 7 days for each phase. The order is Leaf, Fruit/Flower, Root and Stop. We find this cycle an excellent tool for planning and scheduling of all the regular tasks needed for a functional farm.
We are currently in a Root Week which means direct seeding more Carrots and Beetroots as well as topdressing all of our Garlic beds with some of the new compost we had delivered recently. Our Turmeric is also looking really healthy as we still enjoy some warm weather this Autumn. We will dig some out once the tops frost off and see if we have a decent harvest this year.
Product Focus – Green Machine Capsules

Green Machine is a herbal blend based on the edible tree Moringa. It is formulated to provide a real and sustained energy boost for your day as well as providing more of the health benefits listed below. We take 1 capsule every day except Sunday which is our rest day. Always remember to drink plenty of water when consuming Moringa as it can dehydrate you quite quickly.
Moringa is a remarkable plant and is actually an edible tree, rather than a vegetable. Also known as the Miracle Tree or Miracle Plant, all parts of Moringa are edible or medicinal but the most commonly used element is its leaves in the form of a dried powder. Moringa is one of the very few plants to contain all 9 Essential Amino Acids as well as gram for gram:
- 4 x the Vitamin A of Carrots
- 2 x the Protein of Yoghurt
- 3 x the Potassium of Bananas
- 4 x the Calcium of Cows Milk
- 7 x the Vitamin C of Oranges
Moringa provides a myriad of health benefits including but not limited to:
- Antioxidants
- Anti-Inflammatory
- Balances Hormones
- Anti-Aging
- Improves Digestion
- Balances Blood Sugar
- Protects and Nourishes the skin
- Mood Stabilizer
- Protects Brain
- Protects Thyroid
We are currently growing Moringa from seed in various locations around our garden. They are a tropical tree so we are establishing them in warm micro climates where they can thrive.
In the meantime we source Organic Moringa in bulk and make a supplements in capsules as a simple remedy for regular consumption. We combine Organic Moringa with Organic Turmeric, Vitmain C, Spirulina and Black Pepper.
We suggest taking 1 capsule every morning for energy, stamina and motivation throughout your day.
