Welcome to 2025
Happy New Year everyone!
We had a great Christmas enjoying the day with Evan’s family in Nelson and have been very busy keeping the Nelson Hotel restaurant and fridge supplied for the busy tourist season. We also had a fantastic early present signing the contracts for the sale of both our properties in Rainbow 2 days before Christmas. 2025 is shaping up to be a great year for us and we are looking forward to seeing all our lovely customers again in person.
The garden is looking fantastic and producing an abundance of delicious, seasonal vegetables and we are very excited to hold our first Pop Up Market at Limestone Coast Pantry this Saturday January 16 10:00-2:00 pm. Come on down for a coffee, delicious meal and locally grown vegetables, honey and supplements.
Our produce is now available for retail purchases and is featured on the menu at the Nelson Hotel and is always stocked and available at Food For Thought in Mount Gambier. Customers are welcome to come and visit the farm to take a look and purchase vegetables 7 days a week between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm.

Notes From The Garden
At Rainbow OMG we recognise the centuries long tradition of Moon Planting. In short the different phases of the Moon correspond to growth in in different parts of plants with about 7 days for each phase. The order is Leaf, Fruit/Flower, Root and Stop. We find this cycle an excellent tool for planning and scheduling of all the regular tasks needed for a functional farm.
As we have just passed the Full Moon we are now in a Root week so will be planting Beetroots and Carrots, we are looking forward to planting this years Garlic is a few months as well as continuing to increase the amount of Onions we have in the garden.
