Introducing Rainbow Salad
At Rainbow OMG our goal is to make healthy living easy. Life is busy for most people, we get it, we are extremely busy but are doing what we love so we enjoy it. We do however understand that time is the true currency of our world and most people feel they are very short on this precious commodity.
In an attempt to make life easier for all of our customers we are releasing our new product “Rainbow Salad” which is composed of organic, raw, shredded Carrots, Beetroots and Celery. To serve simply serve on top of a leaf of Butterhead Lettuce and/or Spinach, drizzle on your favourite dressing then add some protein. Pictured above is Lettuce, Rainbow Salad, Bacon, Haloumi and an Egg. A delicious, nutritious, healthy and low carb meal fit for a king.

Notes From The Garden
It appears that Summer is over early this year with lower temperatures settling in two weeks before the Autumn Equinox. The next few months should see an abundance of Summer crops like Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Capsicums and Zucchini’s.
Our very late Basil is inching closer to harvest-able size and we have limited Coriander and Parsley available this week. As usually we are flush with Carrots and Celery.
This week the Garden is providing Bok Choi, Butterhead Lettuce, Garlic, Beetroots, Zucchini’s, Eggs, Rainbow Chard, Cucumbers, Carrots, Blemmy Carrots, Coriander, Pasley (limited) and Celery.
Crops currently growing but not ready are Spinach, Red Russian Kale, Sugar Snap Peas, Capsicums, Parsley and Basil.
Some of our products may be a little different to what customers are used to so we will be providing Product Profiles in our Weekly Post and in a dedicated page on our website. This will provide recipe ideas and nutritional information for all of the vegetables and products we offer.
Product Focus: Celery
Celery needs no introduction to most people however it is worth noting that it is one of the more heavily sprayed vegetables in Chemical Agriculture with most testing of off the shelf Celery returning residues of one or more Biocides (Life Killers) such as Herbicide or Pesticide.
Celery is a crop where eating Organic is very important. Our Celery is a deeper green than most and is delicious.
Celery can contain the following nutritional and health benefits:

- Chopped Celery along with Onions, Carrots and Garlic form the base of almost every cooked meal, in French Cooking this is called a “Mirepoix”
- Slice thin strips to use with your favourite dip and replace biscuits or chips
- Cut small sections and fill with Peanut Butter for a nutritious snack
- Save your leaves and stems to use when making Chicken or Beef Stock
