Sunshine Salve is a lovingly handcrafted herbal skin salve made from flowers and herbs grown in our gardens at Rainbow OMG, slowly infused into premium olive oil and blended with beeswax and essential oils to create a rich, soothing balm for everyday skin care.
Created in small batches over 5–7 days, Sunshine Salve is made with patience, care and intention — from harvesting herbs and flowers through to slow infusion, blending and hand pouring into jars.
As working market gardeners and parents, Sunshine Salve has become part of everyday life for our family. It is a product we regularly keep close at hand for dry, rough and hardworking skin, and many customers tell us it has become a favourite in their homes too.
Garden-Grown Herbal Ingredients
Every batch contains herbs and flowers grown in the diverse gardens surrounding our market garden beds.
We grow:
- Comfrey (Symphytum officinale)
- Calendula (Calendula officinalis)
- Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
- Plantain (Plantago lanceolata)
These herbs form part of the living ecosystem within our permaculture-inspired growing system, where biodiversity is encouraged and nature is allowed to work in balance.
Rather than monoculture, we grow with diversity in mind — creating healthy spaces for pollinators, soil life and resilient plants.
Slow-Infused with Olive Oil & Beeswax
Our herbs are slowly infused into olive oil sourced from the Grampians region, allowing the botanical goodness to gently infuse over time.
We then blend the infusion with:
- Beeswax
- Vitamin E oil
- Frankincense essential oil
- Lavender essential oil
The result is a rich, nourishing salve with a smooth texture and calming herbal aroma.
