Lakes Are Filliing, Mozzies Are Buzzing
Well the rain just keeps on falling and the Wimmera River keeps on flowing into Lake Hindmarsh. We drove to 4 Mile Beach this week to take a look and it is really starting to look like a real lake again, Albacutya will follow. We celebrate the rain and accept the downside being the relentless mosquitoes which seem to attack us everywhere we go outside. This has made working at the farm very difficult so we have been working at a rapid pace to keep moving and get away from the little devils. Yesterday was the first day in weeks where we weren’t covered in bites by the end of the day, farming has its challenges.
On another note there will be no deliveries next week on Friday the 4th of November as we will be holding a stall at the Market in Rainbow on November 5th 3-7 pm and all next week’s efforts will be in preparation for that. We look forward to seeing all our regulars and meeting some new ones at the market.

Notes From The Garden
This is a Leaf Week in the Lunar Calendar so we have been Transplanting Lettuce, Bok Choi and Rainbow Chard as well as direct seeding Spinach and Coriander. We will also sow trays of Lettuce, Basil and Parsley in the Nursery. We have sold our last Red Cabbage for the year and our current crop of Bok Choi’s have bolted but the next crop should be ready in a few weeks.
The latest Sunshine Salve is ready! Our new jars are 2.5 x the size of our previous jars so we have raised the price but increased the value for money. There are less than 20 available this time around as we are reserving quite a bit for our growing family. The larger jars will last a very long time, likely more than a year for most people.
A reminder that some of our range is limited so please get your orders in quickly to secure your desired organic vegetables.
This week the Garden is providing Eggs, Butterhead Lettuce, Rainbow Chard, Spinach, Sugar Snap Peas, Celery, Red Russian Kale, Carrots, Beetroots, Coriander and Parsley.
Crops currently growing but not ready are Bok Choi, Tomatoes, Capsicums, Cucumbers, Corn, Green Beans, Zucchini and Basil.

If you would like a Rainbow OMG Buyers Hub in your town, please email “evan@rainbowomg.com” with your name and town and we will be in contact ASAP to kick start the process.
Some of our products may be a little different to what customers are used to so we will be providing Product Profiles in our Weekly Post and in a dedicated page on our website. This will provide recipe ideas and nutritional information for all of the vegetables and products we offer.
