What a glorious week of Autumn sunshine we have just experienced. As I type I see evidence of more rain approaching from the west, hopefully we will receive some good rain this afternoon.
Just a quick reminder that we are suspending CSA Sales until after Winter. All current CSA subscriptions will be fulfilled over the next few weeks but we will not be offering any more until further notice. We would like to thank all CSA supporters for their purchases so far, a lot of quality vegetables were eaten by people rather than our chickens thanks to you.
We spent the last week looking after root crops. This means we turned over two older beds and direct seeded them with carrots, seeded onions in trays again for our last chance this year and used our home made wire-weeder in our existing Beetroot and Garlic beds. This is definitely weeding season right now and we utilise as many different methods as we can to make this task easier. All without dangerous chemicals of course 🙂
This week the Garden is providing Cherry Tomatoes, Green Capsicums, Lettuce, Bok Choi, Carrots, Beetroots, Zucchini, Basil, Rainbow Chard, Cucumbers, Coriander and Parsley.
We have now sold out of Gardenkraut however we will ferment a new batch as soon as we can.
Crops currently growing but not ready this week are Sugar Snap Peas, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Red Cabbage, Red Russian Kale and Spinach
