Spring Has Sprung<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Spring is almost upon us and it looks like it is going to be a wet season, having received over 74 mm just this month. For those who are unaware the Equinox marks the beginning of Spring as this signifies more daylight than darkness until the next Equinox in 6 months. Only a bureaucrat in a climate controlled office, likely wearing a mask by themselves, could apply a meaningless date of September 1st to such an important season. We love Spring as it marks the beginning stages of all the warm season favourites like Tomatoes, Capsicums, Cucumbers, Zucchini etc<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notes From The Garden<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

This is a Stop Week in the Lunar Calendar so we have been working on water infrastructure, weeding and making a new Gardenkraut. As we have now harvested some Red Cabbage this Gardenkraut contains Red Cabbage, Daikon Radish, Carrots, Beetroots, Ginger and Turmeric and will be ready in a few weeks. We have some very large, over 2kg, Cabbage heads for sale this week. More on Cabbage below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest Sunshine Salve<\/a> is ready! Our new jars are 2.5 x the size of our previous jars so we have raised the price but increased the value for money. There are less than 20 available this time around as we are reserving quite a bit for our growing family. The larger jars will last a very long time, likely more than a year for most people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A reminder that some of our range is limited so please get your orders in quickly to secure your desired organic vegetables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week the Garden is providing Red Cabbage, Butterhead Lettuce, Rainbow Chard, Spinach, Sugar Snap Peas (limited), Celery (Limited) Red Russian Kale, Broccoli (limited), Carrots, Beetroots, Coriander and Parsley<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crops currently growing but not ready this week are Bok Choi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
